Nowadays, respect of the environment isn't for a few isolated campaigners, but it's a real political issue, because this topic is concerning more and more people all over the world (ice thawing, critical state of the ozone layer...)

When a lot of countries are increasing environmental initiatives, in some others the respect of the planet hasn't a priority for the government, and they aren't making efforts for respecting the Kyoto's protocol.

Who is polluting and who isn't? We could say that China and the USA are the worst polluters of the world.

In China, the incredible growth of the country, of the industry and of the population explain the frightening level reaching by pollution. Comsuption society endures and amplifies the destruction process of the planet: the majority of the population doesn't really care about that.

Though, we see on each side a mobilisation coming from personalities, in order to make people aware of the increasing problem of pollution. We can quote "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore or the documentary "Home" by Yann Arthus-Bertrand too.

Actually the palm of the less polluting country is dedicated to Germany, that sets up the question about the environment one of his main concern.
