At the beginning, Saint Patrick's day is a Christian Festival celebrated in the Catholic Church. It became a public holiday in 1903 . The day is the national holiday of Ireland, Nothern Ireland and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Today, this popularity extends around the word and people became « Irish for a day ». for example,

the Chicago river is colorated in green for this special day. Also many countries organised some

parades, the biggest was in New York City.

Saint Patrick's Day is an annual feast day which celebrates Saint Patrick, one of the patron saints of

Ireland, and is generally celebrated on March 17.

Everybody is wearing green in reference to Shamrock, symbol of Ireland. Traditionally people

drink Irish alcoholic beverages like Guiness, Murphy's or Irish coffee...
