The 62th Festival de Cannes opens its doors on May 13 before the close May 24.During 11 days, the host croisettes every years directors, actors, journalists around the world to witness the same passion, cinema.
The jury, composed of 7 different nationalities, chaired this year by French actress Isabelle Hupert will deliberate and choose which film among the 20 selected in the official competition both will get the coveted prize. This year 4 films out of the lot: Inglorious Bastard Quentin Tarantino, Looking for Eric by Ken Loach, The hugs broken by Pedro Almodovar and Vengeance of Johnnie To (with Johnny Haliday). It would not be surprising to see one of them win the Palme d'Or. Note that the director of Pulp Fiction (Tarantino) is the only director U.S. official competition this year.
The biggest film's festival in the world will become an area of more than a week around the most glamorous until its closing May 24.
