An uncontrolled skid

Revelation in Formula 1 ! While Renault is beggining to recover from a catastrophic season, a new scandal comes to soil its reputation. In deed, an ex pilot of the team denounces his former chief Flavio Briatore.

Last september, during Singapore GP, he ordered Nelson Piquet to crash to permit Fernando Alonso's victory. It was an ultimatum : if he refused, he was out. Inspite of accepting that, Piquet was fired some months later.

Today, FIA condemnes Renault to two years respite from the competition. Regarding to the Bresilian pilot, he addes : "I do not expect this to be forgiven or forgotten but at least now people can draw their conclusions based upon what really happened."

It's not only the sport that is upset, it's also the french automobile that will have to assume this new negative image.
