Fashion Weeks...

New York Fashion Week, the first of the hugely anticipated ‘big four’, kicked off in style last Thursday 11th February. Mpdclick were of course amongst the teeming crowds poised and ready to note down the trend observations live from the event and snap the enviably cool and creative fashion pack attendees. Throughout the course of the week the runways have delivered exciting and wearable collections for the real ‘woman who shops’ and provided plenty of inspiration for autumn/winter 10/11.

Paris Fashion Week was arguably the most anticipated show of the season, renowned for its creative signature and influential trends. Mpdclick were of course in attendance for the full eight fashion packed days, poised to record our observations. Following the dominant autumn/winter 10/11 story, Paris’ principle designers explored the needs and multiple guises of the modern woman, presenting her as a go getter business woman, survivor, beauty queen and earth mother.

After the great success of the debut launch in February's London Fashion Week, Fashion Mavericks is back for the second Season in September 2010. Fashion Mavericks hosts an array of designers who are deemed to be the latest labels and brands to watch out for. February's edition featured many great designers from RooR, Anya Wilkinson, Lako Bukia, Saffron Knight and Milliner designer Sally-Ann Provan and so on. Each designer had a catwalk slot and could be seen up close and personal at their exhibition stands.

Clothing makes the person...

Fashion experts and ramp show trends are suggesting that 2010 will bring back a lot of the older styles that were once popular. Some of these trends might not seem so appealing but in later months you will see them all over the place. Womens clothing trends are always evolving and changing. Some trends in womens clothing last but just a mere second in the fashion world and other trends make monumental history. It is up to you to decide what trends suit your body and make you look attractive.

Plus-Size Fashions, Clothing Shopping Tips for Large Women

Just because you're a larger woman doesn't mean that you have to wear the boring, ultra-drab clothing that's commonly available. Our average dress size is going up and there's an increasing number of women who want to look fashionable and chic without looking frumpy. Fortunately, designers are listening to consumers and are creating attractive, plus-size fashions for women. Still it is very difficult to find clothing in many areas of the country or they are very limited.

One of the main problems women have is wearing clothing that doesn't fit properly. Too loose and it adds bulk, too tight and bulges are showing. Make sure you use the fitting room and check your back for bulges. Know the stores return policy before buying. Smart manufactures pre-shrink their garments so look for this on the tags.

Undergarments are the "foundation" on which we wear our clothing. Weight fluctuates and it may be necessary to shop frequently or keep two sizes on hand. Underwear that gives proper support and minimizes budges will make you look ten times better. Of course, not all patterns are evil, but many of them are too busy and will make you appear larger small patterns in particular. Favorite designs aside, stick with monochrome or two colors.

These were some tips and news about Fashion for our last Blog Edition. But we will be back soon with more and more tips.
