Internet Made Them

Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, Gregoire, Yelle or... Lorie. What are the mutual interests of these people, except for their job? I think that you know they are all famous singers although when we're talking about Lorie, her popularity didn't go through the French Borders.

No, all these famous singers were discovered on the Internet. The first was LORIE, in 2000 with her midinette's song "Près de toi". She has known an unbelievable success. Now she is still a star in France & Canada, due to her relation with Garou!

GREGOIRE's story is a true fairy tale. Indeed, a music label on the Internet, "MyMajorCompany", which is proposing to ordinary people to finance works of the artist, gave his chance to the young frenchman. Everybody in France knows the corny old song "Toi Plus Moi". Now, a second album is coming.

YELLE claims to be a women's defender, through the songs "Je veux te voir" and the cover of "A Cause Des Garçons". On the first, she answers the French group TTC, where they called girls like prostitutes. She made duos with Fatal Bazooka, group of the French humourist Michael Youn.

ARCTIC MONKEYS weren't known before the big help of a several fans; they create a MySpace page of the English group, and put the samples "Fake Tales of San Francisco" and "From The Ritz To The Rubble" on it. BBC takes away from the phenomenon, and we can say that they are the fans who made the success of Arctic Monkeys!

In France, the first time we heard LILY ALLEN was on an advertisement for a mobile operator. In England, it's on her own MySpace that the young Londoner posted the songs which contribute to her success. Smile, Fuck You, 22, all these songs are hits everywhere.

5 Stars, 5 differents starts, a same destiny: TO BE A STAR.
