Spring of Maghreb
By definition, a contestation is a contentious speech act. But actually the contestation takes the form of a violent sedition, this is the revolt of the population against its government oppressor. The conflict isn't for an ideal politic, this is for contestation against the dictatural government. This is the modern equivalent of the French revolution.
Africa has been the place of this contestations for two months, they begin with the immolation of a Tunisian student in the name of liberty. Then, provoked the fall of "governor" Ben-Ali and influence all the countries with a dictatorial government. So, the idea of revolt spread into Africa: Algeria, Marocco, Egypt and others are now countries with demonstrations and riots.
But we have no certainty that this contestations will give results. Because it takes place in countries that don't know the real democracy and where we're not sure that the occidental model is appropriate. At the actual time, we aren't sure of the results of that we call also "The spring of Maghreb". Same in Tunisia where the contestation makes go out the president Ben-Ali, the situation isn't stable.
In Egypt, the manifestation upgrades but the government stays and answers people with military interventions. What is at stake is the impact on the mentality in Africa. Indeed this is an ideal of liberty that became apparent in the spirit of the African population. If the demonstration principally touch the Maghreb. Allover Africa the idea of liberty circulates with the help of the journalists.
The media give many importance to contestations , but we haven't seen the real impact and consequences of the contestations. We hope that in honor to the people died in this contestation, the goal will be reached.
