  A break in Obama's campaign

Barack Obama announced the suspension of his campaign this morning and surprised everybody. Familial reasons or political strategy?

The Democrat candidate declared threw his communication director Robert Gibbs, he will suspend his campaign on Thursday afternoon. And thus for 36 hours at least. He explained: « Recently, his grandmother felt ill and last week, her health became worse ». Obama decided to go to her bedside.

This decision occured during the final sprint for the White House. Most of all before the vote in the key states, like Florida which voted for the Republicans in the last election. But will really these 36 hours of break be a problem in such a bitter fierce?

Obama's advantage becomes stronger everyday. Thanks to Hillary Clinton's help which has an important impact on the women votes. Or Colin Powell which renforces the adhesion of the black community. Just the Conservative world stay reluctant to the Democrat representant. But the fact to sacrify his career for his grandmother will probably seduce most of these electors attached to the family tematics.

Moreover, an attack from McCain when Obama frents a personnal difficulty would be considered like disloyal by his own electors. The Republican candidate doesn't need to see another part of those, who traditionnaly vote for a Conservative candidate, leaves him for his rival. Obama is eleven points ahead and a new fault of McCain would probably condemn him definitly.
