The series " South Park " could be the target aimed by the car bomb.

Apparently some threats of Muslim Revolution intervened following the episode 200 of "South Park". The episode involved was broadcasted on April 14th of this year and the prophet Mahomet had appeared dressed as a bear. The Islamic group had reacted by addressing directly Matt Stone and Trey Parker: " we have to warn Matt and Trey that what they make is stupid and what they are probably going to finish as Theo Van Gogh ( Dutch film-maker murdered by Moslem extremists in Amsterdam in 2004, after the broadcasting of its polemical documentary on the place of the woman in the Islam) by broadcasting this program ".

A car bomb was placed near the offices of Viacom, groups media owned by Central Comedy, the channel which broadcasts "South Park". The car bomb was thwarted on Saturday evening in New York, in the sector of Times Square. The police tries to exploit a mass of indications, but the track, aiming " South Park " is now relieved by all the American media, including very popular New York Times which did not hesitate to title " South Park: the most dangerous series of the television ". Nevertheless, the series is not for its first scandal there: In the recent seasons the show has taken aim at Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology, Kanye West and “Avatar” ; and been protested by organizations from the Catholic League to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

But the series is not slandered for all that in the USA because most of the persons from the United States continue to show their support for Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Matt Groening made a small wink in Simpson's generic, by staging Bart who wrote on the board : " South Park, we would be by your side if we were not also frightened ".

All this story brings us to ask a question about the freedom of expression today...Can we write or say what we want without being afraid of the threats ?
