EDITO : Between hope and reality

Since last week and Barrack Obama's election, the world is hopefull. An African- American rules the planet. It's a sign of progress and redemption in the United States for the black community which was persecuted fifty years ago still. Since the reelection of Bill Clinton in 1996, the Democrats could not get the White House.

Now they have it. So, is it the end of the over military policy in America? Maybe. Barrack Obama wants it. He promised to stop the Irak's war and sort out the Afghanistan problem. But what about Iran?

But before the overseas issues, he will have to face the economic crisis in America, the other main point in his campain. He will have to take care of the interest of his own country before looking after the rest of the world. So what about Africa?

But Barrack ain't Jesus or Mahomet, he is just the American president. It's not gonna happen in one year. It will take time and people might be disappointed. However, that could be the beginning of a new area for Occident...
