Solidays : Three days for some hope
The « Solidays » festival is a meeting where many celebrities, about more than a hundred, gather around and play music to collect founds for the fight against the HIV virus. Since 1999, the festival has met at the Longchamp's racecourse. This year the event will happen on the 26th, 27th and 28th of June.
Ten years ago, some of the most popular in the music industry, like Iggy Pop, Robbie Williams or Youssou N'Dour with the famous song « 7 seconds ». Since many artists went on and on, we can name Cali, Alain Bashung and Mickey 3D. But also international bands such as Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang and the Kaiser Chiefs.
While the fight against AIDS is more than ever a burning subject in our society with all the declarations of the Pope recently, the festival could have a moderative part to calm the situation. In that way, the organizers can already count on NTM, Digitalism, Groundation, The Ting Tings and the No Smoking Orchestra of Emir Kusturica. The
following of the programm will be annouced tomorrow. The spectators will be able to book their
tickets from the 7th of April.
