Master Splinter could look for a new Ninja turtle in the years to come...Indeed a new report published by Bryan Wallace, professor at Duke university and science adviser to Conservation International, deals with disappearance of millions of sea turtles.Six of seven species of sea turtle are underthreat :hawksbill, leatherback,Kemp's Ridley, green, loggerhead and flatback. The cause of this disappearance are the hunt.Sea turtles are estimated for their meat and shells, and fishing accidents. In this second scenario, turtles are inadvertently trapped on fishing nets and snared in the wide where they are unable to come to the surface to breathe.

This report targets four geographical regions, the Mediterranean, the eastern Pacific, the south and the north-west Atlantic off the coast of the United States. The first is the most murderous for the second largest reptile on Earth.

Dr Bryan Wallace,in this report published in Conservation Letters, call fishermen to use circular fishhooks and implementation of trapdoors on trawler. This change could decrease the number of sea turtle killed...although the pollution or plastic bags killed this reptile too.

If things don't change, sea turtle will disappear in twenty years and ours friends eaters of pizza,Donatello,Leonardo,Raphaello and Michelangelo will be the only memory of this prehistoric animal.
