Something unprecedent, the targeted killing of an American citizen
Today in the New-York Times magazine we can read that the Obama administration has authorized the targeted killing of the radical Muslim cleric, Anwar Al-Awlaki. He is an American Muslim lecturer, spiritural leader and Imam believed to be a senior talent recruiter and motivator for Al-Quaïda. He was born in New-Mexico so he is well integrated of the American culture, convertided to Islam he is an object for Al-Quaïda like Jihad Jane, Daniel Boyd and Nidal Hassan. Anwar Al-Awlaki has been accused by a number of sources of Islamist fundamentalism and encouraging terrorism. This situation about M. Al-Awlaki is very important and the consequences could be dangerous because the others Muslim in United States could be revolted. Indeed, his popularity could be rebound against United States of America in the larger ideological campaign against Al-Quaïda.
But we know by the Los Angeles Times that the terrorist might be added to the targest list and he was approved for capture or killing but because M. Al-Awlaki is an American his inclusion on this list had to be approved by the National Security Council.
People on the targest list are considered to be military enemies of the United States.
Born in U.S, Anwar Al-Awlaki calls for Jihads against America.
