An X-ray of Hitler available on Ebay

Everything can be found end sold on Ebay. This sentence has been particulary true since a man put an annonce on the web site saying that he was ready tu put up for auction a very special document from the Second World War: two X-ray of Adolf Hitler's head and skull. So the perfect present for Mother's Day in a month! These impressions were probably copied by the US Army just after the war. The originals were them made just after the assassination attempt on Hitler in July 1944. Both are dated from the 9 septembreof 1944. The owner of these unusual documents inherited them from his father, a former captain in the US Army Medical Corps. He was given them by a colleague when he were stationed at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. Around 1946-1947. The bids start to $1,600. And we can be sure that they are going to rise very quickly...
But behind the strange and « funny » aspect (if we can qualified this of funny) of this sale, this puts in relieve an ethical and moral question: is it possible to put up for auction all and anything, even if this document is an historic one? These documents are a part of a medical file end have to stay secret. And we have to respect this, even for one of the great murderer of History. What does give to this man the right to sell it? Probably the control of what circulates on Ebay has to be reinforced in order to stop this type of excesses. But would at that time appear the question of the respect of free trade. And the limit between the control of the excess on this site and the reduction of the freedom to trade is very small. So what can be done? The debate is openned...
