In the dark time of the economic crisis we undergo, the people have no more food, houses are all for sale, no one to buy some, end of the world is near (2012 ?).The population is ready to riot and the society do all to make ourself guilty about the poverty in the world. But this won't be the subject of this article...
The 7th january 1899 was born a guy called Alphonse Gabriel Capone, a modern businessman who became rich in working as boss of the Chicago's mafia. He became one of the most notorious organized-crime boss from 1925 to 1931. He had as tool for working intimidation, bribes and violence, according to gangster lore. After some visit into the American's jails, he died in 1947 at home because of an heart attack. Now Al Capone's name is a legend, and everyone know his name all around the world. This enormous notoriety made every sale of his own stuff very expensive, for example his Cadillac V8 Town sedan was sold for 621 500 $ in 2006. And there is a lot of merchandising made on his name and his reputation.
Today it's another part of the legend which is for sale now, his country lodge in Wisconsin. This proprety was bought by the Capone's familly in 1920, the lodge is fortified with stone walls at least a foot thick and a guard tower. There is a separate facility that resembles a jail on site and includes a 37-acre lake and eight-car garage. The reason of King Capone having a home in the Winconsin was because of none enemy was ready to travel this far from Chicago to hunt him down in Winconsin.
In 1950 this fortified house was transformed into a tourist spot where people used to visit the traditonnal mafia way of life.In april 2008 Guy Houston had to sold this jewel to Chippewa Valley Bank who put it on sale. The start of bid is at 2,5 million$, and the bank still have over 100 potential buyers for this Little House on the prairie for now. We can notice that Capone's summer house in florida was sold in 2006 for 6,8 million $ and every parts of his life are pure treasure for collectors. We hope that the future owner will keep the tradition of making this house a museum to show the new generations what offer the American dream when you fully enjoy it. But perhaps nowadays being boss of the mafia like Capone is too close of being a famous rap singer.
