UK – France : the same fight
A new clash starts back the debate about the question of security in school.
Some days ago, in a prestigious Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, a brawl between two teenagers shocked English people. A water fight deteriorated into knife attack. Two boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested.
Violence at school is not a new phenomenon. In fact, this type of incident was until then attributed to France. An important confusion which makes France a country where knives and fire armes are in contact with young persons in a place reserved to education.
Nowadays, this increase affected the United Kingdom.: nearly 3,000 school arson attacks in two years. Many sociologists, doctors, and so on, are working on this problem in order to find a solution.
The reasons of this crisis
As a recent survey shows parents are in the center of the social education of conflit. Many factors may explain this. For instance, the family background or television can influence the behaviour of certain children. Violence start with a lack of education, children tend to close up to themselves. In fact, a drastic increase in the sales of video games shows us that children are becoming more and more unsocialised.
Moreover, bad childhood experiences such as violence or rape may enhance violence among youngsters. As those children tend to reproduce the same act on others.
However, it's not always the case...some parents are responsible and do care about the future of their children.
